Die Tragweite der Ergebnisse und Verfahren wird durch Anwendungen - vorwiegend in Richtung Kontrolltheorie - illustriert.§ This book is devoted to the study of the simplest kind of oscillatory processes, namely periodic processes.§After introducing the basic concepts of oscillation in the first chapter, the authors discuss the fundamental existence theorems for oscillatory regimes in the second chapter. The main tools are basically the same which are useful in nonlinear functional analysis, such as topological degree theory, fixed point principles and variational arguments. The third chapter contains the main topic of the book: convergence of numerical procedures involving iteration-projection methods, with a particular emphasis on the Galerkin method, the harmonic balance method, and the different method.
