AI is already part of childhood. AI & Me helps schools talk about it safely, calmly and age-appropriately.

AI & Me Year 1 is a practical teaching guide for primary schools, designed to help young children understand technology, online safety, feelings, privacy, honesty and kindness in an AI-shaped world.

This is not a coding course. It does not train children to use AI tools independently. Instead, it gives teachers a clear, developmentally appropriate way to explore the questions children increasingly need to ask:

Is it a person or a program?
Can I believe this?
Can AI be my friend?
Whose work is it?
What should I keep private?
How does AI make me feel?
Is this kind and fair?
Should I ask AI or try myself?

Written for Year 1 pupils, this book uses short, discussion-led sessions to build judgement, help-seeking, emotional literacy and responsible behaviour. The lessons are designed to sit naturally within PSHE, RSHE, circle time, assemblies or online safety provision.
