The book will be a detailed review about the physics inherent to image processing methods. The mathematics of image processing, fundamentals of digital image processing, image enhancement, image registration and co-registration and segmentation will be reviewed. These topics can be used for all the areas associated with physics, like technologists, radiographers, medical physics, physics, engineering areas.

Additionally, the book will contain a detailed explanation about how image processing can influence the clinical images in Nuclear Medicine and, consequently, the clinical diagnosis.
