L’apice della sua carriera, che tocca il Mantova, il Monza e altre squadre, lo raggiunge giocando per la Roma in Serie A, ma un piacevole “infortunio” – tre figli – lo obbligherà a fare una scelta. Il pallone, per lui, diventa definitivamente “quadrato”. Ora vive ritirato con la dolce Elvira, in una villa in campagna con tanti animali, tantissimi nipoti, parenti e amici... ovunque.
