"董海川八卦转掌发展至今已有二百余年的历史,是我国目前传播较为广泛的拳种之一,具有很高的艺术欣赏价值和技击实用价值。

八卦掌是清代同治年间一代宗师董海川（1797-1882）创编的。八卦掌是一个讲究内外兼修的内家拳种。董海川年轻时为壮其襟怀,游历江南名山大川,访高人,得其真传。后来,董海川融百家之长,寓易理于拳术之中,结合道家的"导引吐纳术"和"转天尊"功法而创编了八卦掌,又名"推磨掌",是一种以掌法变换和行步走转为主的拳术,于走转之中抽招换势,脱身幻影。此拳种凭其独特的练功方法、技击特点、演练风格享誉武林,广为传播。董海川一生弟子满堂,桃李满天下,成名的弟子有：尹福、程廷华、梁振蒲、马维骐、樊志勇、刘德宽、刘凤春、宋长荣等。这些先辈们为弘扬传播八卦掌做出了卓著的贡献。

作者简介

刘佳霖，名扬，字佳霖，出生于河北省沧州市南皮县集北头村。国家武术六段、国家一级社会体育指导员、南皮县武协副主席兼秘书长。自幼酷爱武术，历拜数派名家学拳。曾习太祖长拳、八极拳、心意拳、戳脚翻子拳，后拜八卦掌泰斗李子鸣先生之高足李功成为师，系统学习八卦掌法、杨式太极拳和陈式太极拳，深得真传。系董海川八卦掌第五代传人。自1990年始，一直致力于传统武术的教学工作。曾在北京首届八卦掌全国邀请赛和全国传统武术比赛中多次获奖。2011年，参加河北省武术套路、散打晋段晋级比赛，分别荣获八卦掌术、器械银奖。"
