兰考，1954 年由兰封考城合并的小县，黄河故道的普通小县，六十 年代以逃荒要饭有名，称兰考道路；1962 年 12 月，一个普通的县委书记 焦裕禄来到这儿，1964 年 5 月 14 日为兰考百姓劳累而死，1966 年 2 月因 宣传而世界闻名。 这可是历史的安排：1960 年因中国大饥饿，农业战线需在大批忠于 人民的优秀干部去支援，我继父孟昭芝从铁路信阳工委书记调任兰考县 委副书记，我母亲1962年到兰考。我在1962年10月探亲，才认识兰考； 1963 年冬再去兰考认识了焦裕禄。我的人生命运竟和兰考相连在一起。 1964 年焦裕禄去世，我有感于他的动人事迹，向长影党委提出写焦 裕禄电影的要求。长影于 1965 年春批准我以林彪提出的"三结合"（领 导、专家、群众）方法，到兰考组织电影剧本创作；我于 1965 年 3 月来 到兰考；1965 年 8 月参加兰考四清，直到 1966 年 2 月 7 日人民日报发表 焦裕禄报导为止，重组织创作电影剧本。 1966年3月我参加到中央文化部直接领导的《焦裕禄》电影创作组。 我们满怀希望创作这剧本时，一场史无前例的文化大革命开始了。我的 文革是从兰考开始的，也因兰考而挨整，最后又由兰考收束；命运把我 和兰考连在了一起。 让我找出当年日记，寻出文化大革命后专案组退回我的交代，梦回 到半个世纪前的历史里，慢慢道来。
