1 CORINTHIANS

Rarely today do we find a detailed study in any local church on 1 Corinthians in its entirety. We often will see that particular verses from 1 Corinthians are used in sermons or teachings to try and make a particular point, but an in depth study is many times avoided because it reveals the troubling condition of the church at the time of the first letter. Another disturbing fact is that if we observe our churches of today, many of the same problems still remain nearly 2000 years after this letter was written. We can be certain that in the same way the Apostle Paul was pleading for the believers in Corinth to return to the truth, God is calling us today to return also. In this book we will study in detail the church of Corinth as it was during the time of the Apostle Paul's first letter, the Greek culture affecting the church, the issues that they had, and how this applies to us as believers today. While the lessons to be learned may not be painless, they without a doubt have the power to set mankind free and allow us to draw closer to God in our daily lives.
